" I just can't. " He exhaled deeply. The sorrow in his eyes thickened as his gaze was caught in hers. " But why? Don't you see? We're supposed to be together. Everyone else can see it but you.. your blind." Her hand placed lightly onto his chest, she pulled herself into his body, barely touching. His eyes slowly closed, his lips we're dawning hers. It had reached the point where they could feel each others breaths. Like a warm summer's evening with the exhale that you have on a cold winters morning. His hands were pulled down onto her waist it had sealed the gentle kiss.

Quinn hadn't realized until now, how much she loved Nate .It'd been a long time since she'd left that kiss on his lips. His fingers were digging in her sides, her arms now linked around Nate's neck, pulling up onto him. Heat was rising, both bodies tensing. Deeper kisses.

With a burst of release Nate pulled away from Quin's rose lips. " This? What is this? Why are you doing this to me?" Quin - startled. " Doing what Nate? You know my feelings for you, what can be more straight forward?" " Obviously it's not Quin. God you're so stupid. I'M so stupid. We're not together anymore.. and this...? Has to stop now. I'm not in love with you anymore." And with his breath Quin put her finger on his beautiful pink lips, with the other hand ran through his soft chopped brown hair and whispered " Just tell me that again in the morning. " " Just for tonight i'll stay here with you. But when the sun hits your eyes, there'll be nothing you can do"

The weather was monotone. Bleak and rainy. It was early morning on a September day. The rain was steel bullets hitting the window's glass. The room was white, the atmosphere was fragile and delicate. Quin opened her eyes adjusting to the light. Her gentle head tilted to her right to find Nate's body laying next to hers. A small smile elongated on her pretty face. Her lose left arm was carefully placed onto his side. This had awoken Nate and his sharp body moments flipped him over to his side. He stroked down her arm and felt for her palm. He held it tightly like a kite on a rope.

" I have to go". Nate exhaled and looked down. He could no longer stare into those hazel eyes on Quin's. He knew they had too much trust, love and passion for him. " There's nothing i can do is there?" Quin felt a lump in her throat become thicker. She was choking back on her tears. Redness appearing in her eyes. Nate pulled his body away and up out of the bed. In that moment Quin was back in reality. She had felt the tear tracks appear down her English Rose complexion. Within moments Nate had disappeared into the streets. The more she thought about the previous night the more adrenaline and courage she gained to run after him. Without a second to spare she was running out of her apartment onto the streets. Parallel to Nate. The rain was beating down harder. A fragile skeleton was risking its safety. Cars were rushing past like a race track. Her screams were becoming louder , " Nate! Nate!" It wasn't until she saw his blurry silhouette in the distance stop. She came to a halt. her breaths were short, sharp and deep. She ran her fingers through her wet matted hair. Nate was walking back. Then his pace fastened.

They where face to face now. " Is this how it's going to be Nate?" Quin threw her arms back. " I just can't do this now. But you know what i feel" " No. I dont Nate. I don't understand. I'll wait for you always. When I find you. I find me. When i'm with you it's a whole other me." Nate's temper was rasing. His eyes where becoming thinner, his lips tensing. " See?! we're always arguing. I don't want to fight. I'd rather kiss you. but it can't be like this. I broke up with you for a reason." " What is THE reason!?" Quin's eyes were similar to the rain itself. You wouldn't have notice she was crying. Cars still zooming past. It was like time got faster. Emotions about to break. " I'll always love you Quin. This just isn't the right time." " But whenever is the right time?" " I don't know Quin. I really don't."

There was a minute of just staring. Like statues in a garden. Painfully still and silent. The rain had soaked through both of their bodies into their bones. There was nothing stopping them. Not gravity. Not the moody sky. But they couldn't fight any longer. They'd both given in to the most powerful thing on the planet earth. Love.
