Chapter 30: The Secret Revealed

The door screeched open showing a women in a white and black dress. She had brown curly hair that was all knotted up because she had forgotten to brush her hair.
"My lady sorry I...didn't notice that it was you. Come in, come in," the maid suggested while signalling her hand towards the hallway.
They all stopped in the hallway that had sparkly tiles stretching towards the kitchen.
Grizzly, Lola and Rupert shook their coat vigorously until dry. The murky water went everywhere covering the tiles, making them unclean.
"I've spent the whole day polishing this floor looking the way it was, then you come along and plaster mud all over my clean tiles, all that hard work for nothing!"
Rupert,Lola and Grizzly looked down in shame, "we're very sorry."
The Lady handed them a cloth each, "Now you three I want you to clean this mess before it grimes on to the floor. You lot follow me, I will take you to see Sid."
Jasmine, Arthur, Rose, Bruno, Bogz, Ragz, Sandy and Lily followed the maid up the flight of stairs. The stairs had a bright red carpet leading towards the top. When they reached the top of the stairs, there were lots of doors with numbers down every aisle.
They soon reached a door with a number one hundred.
The maid tapped on the door lightly then waited for an answer.
"Come in!" Sid shouted at the top of his voice.
The maid swung the door open, "I have some visitors for you."
"Lily W...what brings you here at this time?"
"I have brought a summoner, who would like to hear about that creature," Lily answered.
Sid stared at the summoner, "I haven't met a summoner since the other one passed away."
"You knew the summoner?" Jasmine questioned.
"Yes I know him alright, I fought along his side. Now it looks like you have been chosen by the creatures. This summoner was from a different place called...never mind I've forgotten but I'll show you a picture of him after, I'll tell you about this creature at Lightning Rod first. The creature lives at Lightning Rod to charge itself up on the lightning that's crashing down, the lightning never stops over there and that's why it lives there. The creature had yellow spikes on its back, bright orange skin, long nails and a long tail with a lightning bolt on the end. It also stands on two legs to dash around unseen to the naked eye. The summoner had used this creature when he was against the Dark Demon. He also summoned other Protection Forces as well. That reminds me; I promised that I would show you a picture of him, follow me."
They followed Sid down stairs. Lola, Rupert and Grizzly were still scrubbing the floors trying their best to get everything spic and span.
Sid looked at the animals strange, "What are they doing!"
Lily spoke up, "It's alright Sid the maid finished the place then we arrived and these three made the hallway all muddy again so the maid told them to clean it up."
Sid called the maid over.
"What's the matter Prince Sid," the maid asked.
"Why have you got animals scrubbing the tiles it's very hygienic."
The maid placed her glasses against her eyes to find three animals scrubbing the floor, a rat, a bear and a wolf.
"Oh dear, I'm ever so sorry Prince Sid I'll polish, scrub and disinfect the tiles for you."
The maid snatched the cloths back and went to fetch the polisher that's like a Hoover.
Sid showed everyone to the living room including Grizzly, Rupert and Lola. It was a beautiful living room full of ornaments, a brown leather corner sofa, a brown wooden table with chairs neatly placed under waiting to be used. On the plain wall was the picture of the summoner.
"This is the summoner that we knew of and he saved Pandora three years ago," Sid explained.
Jasmine and Arthur just stood with their mouth wide open. Rose looked at the picture closely then turned to face the twins, "What's wrong?"
Jasmine tried to speak but her words weren't coming out, "Th...Tha...That summoner."
Jasmine managed to find her words but Arthur enters the conversation.
"He's our father but he's meant to be dead when he went to war," said Arthur in shock.
"Why didn't he come back to tell us about this place, to tell us about his adventures and also brought us here with him by our side!" shouted Jasmine.
Sid could see that the children were upset, so he told the maid, to tell the cooks, to make dinner for the visitors as well.
"I never knew he was your father, no wonder the creatures took you up for the job young summoner," Sid said in a shocked way.
"I'm Jasmine and this is Arthur my twin brother."
"Please to meet you," Sid said politely.
Arthur introduced Sid to the others then the maid came through with her hands full of fresh food. She placed on the table a whole chicken, fresh vegetables, bread sauce, home made Yorkshires and sage and onion stuffing.
The waft of the food smelt delicious, so they all tucked into the food reaching out to whatever was closest to them. Soon every scrape of food had vanished leaving the chicken bare in the middle of the table.
"I'll show you where Lightning Rod is but I need to rest and it looks like you haven't rested in ages. Why don't you stay the night, then we will set off early in the morning," Sid suggested.
Sid showed the Pandora Team where they were staying for the night. When they entered room sixty five, the room smelt of fresh flowers and it felt really warm.
Jasmine chucked herself towards the bed that had white curtains dropping down and a golden duvet cover spread across the bed, keeping warm for the visitors.
"Good night everybody see you in the morning," Sid whispered softly.
Sid closed the door and went to his room with Lily thinking about the summoner, "Is that really his children, they did look a bit upset when I showed them the picture but how did they arrive. I thought the summoner had sacrificed himself."

Meanwhile the Dark Demon had landed within the gloomy forest calling his goblins and other creatures towards him. Soon goblins, Trolls, bats and other creatures not forgetting the snake and scorpion met up with the Demon.

Why had this Demon called so many creatures? Is he still after the angels of darkness, or is the Demon after Jasmine's Protection Forces?
