My pen is my sword
The chapter my fight
All I have to do to win
Is put down my words and write.
Word by word
Blow by blow
Writing everything
I know.
The bell does ring
End of a round
I put my pen down
And don't make a sound.
"Ding, ding" goes the bell
I pick up my pen
And so begins the fight
All over again.
A jab to the face
Uppercut to the chin
My opponent falls
Next chapter begin.
Growing stronger
Day by day
Writing about
What comes my way.
The book may be done
And so is the fighting
The war is not over
Until I stop writing.
