As I lay my weary head
And listen to what has been said
I close my eyes and try to see
What the hell's been bothering me.
I pray for the pain to go away
As it gets worse every day
Up to the Lord my prayers I send
I hope he gets them before the end.
For in this world I tried to be
A helpful man for all to see
Help the needy, poor and blind
And try to do good to all mankind.
