Please lend me your ears
And tell you a story
Of midnight fun
And morning glory
Of days gone by
In days of old
I've got a story
That's begging to be told.
There once was a prince-
A valiant one
He was the king's only son
And out he went
To find his princess
But all the girls
Looked a mess
Until one day
In a gorgeous valley
He heard a voice so fair
It was the daughter of George O'Malley
With a beautiful voice
And silken hair.
"Mr O'Malley can I marry your girl?"
Said the prince to the pauper
"I tell you what" said Mr O'Malley
"I'll let you marry my daughter"
And so the next day
There was merriment and fun
At the wedding of the King's only son
And they lived a long and happy life
Living together
As husband and wife
The moral of this story you see
Is not that you marry into Royalty
But that you find your one true love
That's sent from heaven up above.
