Did anyone actually ASK the Jedi Knights to be the guardians of the Galaxy?
From what I can see they just appointed themselves the job, built an expensive Temple and then totally failed to do any sort of protecting of any kind when the Bantha Crap hit the fan...
One of them even ran away and hid in a sandpit for 17 years... Mind you, he aged pretty quickly, so maybe that was guilt stress?
In the end they just left it to their Rookie Newbie, with his questionable haircuts to go and sort it all out. And you can bet he didn't get minimum wage for doing it either. They didn't even give him a lightsaber! He had to make do with a hand-me-down and then bodge up his own one!
If I was him, I'd consider packing it in as a career and move into PR. That Empire could do with some good coverage - maybe a nice Viral Youtube video of old Moff Tafkin giving out M&Ms to Ewoks or something.
