@overskill @naaviie it's that kind of scientific conundrum that this research will be determining. We'll start with one and see. Remember - we DO have a poking stick on board.

True, science is about sampling. We can do one exploratory mission with our flying submarine and poking stick before deciding whether the other, estimated 20,000 worlds, are worth poking too.

@naaviie we'll need some sort of measurement scale for poking. I suggest a rating of 1 to 10. As in "Hmmn.. This shoe is registering a poking factor of 6"

Are you sure a Poking Scale of 1-10 will be enough? I hear grave things from on yonder puddles.

@naaviie @waynedoz We do a way of measuring our poking. But it would need to be very precise. Maybe we could measure it in "Prods". Eg. "This shoe is 6547 prods". On the scale of 1-10, one number is worth a thousand prods (pr. for short).

@naaviie @waynedoz We could have categories of puddles. A puddle measuring 3000/3 out of 10 would be a category 3. Anything over 10000 prods would be a category 10.

@naaviie @overskill I like the way this going. With the gathering of this kind of data, we can bring it back and present it to someone. Maybe Stephen Hawking.
