For Remembrance Day-
Why? Why are we fighting?
Why are we killing? Why are we dying?
Murderers
Is that how we're proclaimed?
No one is trying to clear their name,
Once again we're stuck in a game,
Fighting for our country, fighting for our claim.
Just another tommy,
I've seen life,
I've seen death,
I've watched my own die.
My eyes scarred with my unwanted witnesses
I'd never recommend, the life I was forced into,
I'd never go to war, never again.
30 years later and I still hear the cries, deep down in the trenches my brothers die
I close my eyes and pray it will never happen again,
I close my eyes and I feel happy again.
