Remembered

improvisation Challenge set by @eddie12309
Using words: Grass, Egg, Emotion, Poppy, Smell and Hands!

These poppy fields get me down
Sat here cross legged on cut grass
With borrowed eggs in both hands
Pondering if my emotions fail me fast
1 may be worth it's weight in gold: grands
The other will ooze heroin when cracked

The smell of death is in the air
I give both eggs back and just stare
Remembering times when soldiers fought here
I'll make my own luck then I'll share

Rising up I walk slowly away
Looking back over my shoulder I say:
"The fallen hero's live in me today
Unknown to me yet they did pay
So I can be free and live my own way."

Poppy Fields

The fields covered in vibrant red. Too many have lost their lives, Are dead. Deafening gunfire has just ceased, Man proven once again to be the beast.

Remember Them.

For those who gave their lives away, And sacrificed everything each day, We will remember them. For those who go to the fierce war, And them who obey their law, We will remember them.

FLANDERS FIELD

So beautiful /••\ \••/ |< In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns...
