Deviant Love

This is an incredibly short story I wrote for my A-Level Literature course and like the majority of my poetry it has resurfaced lately...

Age would have broken you and torn you from beauty's path, so for my gift to you I give you beauteous death.
I drink you in as the sweet perfume of death fills me and explodes my senses. Your arms tighten around me like a lovers knot as you tear into me, trying to regain some of your self.
Sated, I leave you, semi-naked and weeping as you ebb away slowly.
A kiss my love? You beckon me close again and I join with you until your last breath sighs from your body.
As I leave your moon kissed form I think of my immortality and wish I were with you. Instead I turn, ever hungry, out into the night, my one true love.
The scent of innocence excites like an erotic fantasy, so I chase it through these dead and broken streets into my next lovers arms.

Ink and steel, drunk and stroppy... Life should not be feared when you have the words to tame all...
