O wondrous, ponderous cow of the sea,
It long has quite befuddled me,
That folk, myopic, through the years,
Bestow a Mermaid tag upon,
Such a countenance obscure,
I cannot find a reason for,
Why thou, should e're mistaken be,
For marine femininity,
And thus my dear, I must confesseth,
I've left the matter there and theneth.
