This time it's someone else's Minecraft failure! My friend was mining in a dungeon, and his difficulty was on Normal, so he found it strange that he couldn't see any creepers. His sound was broken, so he had to constantly dart his vision around to make sure he was in the clear.
Anyway, he found a strange absence of creepers. He turned...
And died.
Because a creeper had waltzed up to him, casually hissed and blew up in his face.
