This piece of writing was an accompaniment to a character-building exercise in Drama at my school, where we made a character, gave him a special object or type of walk, and then performed. Enjoy!
Welcome to my world. Seriously, it is my world. And it's all thanks to a little phone I have in my pocket.
This phone decides how the world will work. One text will be sent across a sub-atomic wavelength and subconsciously instruct any person you like to do whatever you want them to do. Yes, I am the master of the world.
I came by this sprcial technology in a 'Food of the World' cuisine, waiting for lunch. An old man hobbled into the restaurant and up to my table, and took out the phone from one of his pockets which he then placed in front of me.
"It says you're next in line," the man said to me. "Choose well." And he turned and walked out as if nothing had happened.
So I now decide the fate of the world - but when my time expires, I must pass this object on to someone else. I do not know who this person is - but I hope he is prepared.
