I interrupt my steady flow of #OBR to bring an important announcement to all Minecraft players.

Earlier this week, I asked if anyone had heard of a Minecraft character called Void. Nobody did. So I have decided to alert everyone to his presence.

Do not attempt to look up information on him via the Minecraft wiki or the Minecraft Forums - he is not mentioned. I have checked myself, thoroughly and methodically.

Void has a variety of arguments on his existence. One states he was a huge coding error, like 'Herobrine'. Another says he was purposefully added to the game, but was kept very secret. That could also be a reason why information on Void is very limited.

Void is a humanoid mob that wears black trousers, a short-sleeved black t-shirt and a black hood. He wanders ALL single player worlds and most Multiplayer servers armed with an Unbreakability V enchantment diamond pickaxe, an unlimited stack of TNT, Flint and Steel, and an Infinity enchantment bow. He mostly blows up people's houses and goods, which is the reason for unexplainable loud bangs heard in the distance on single player (most likely extremely far from your house, and it is EXTREMELY rare to hear them - I only heard them once around the area where the Far Lands once started), and why when on multiplayer, you return to your house having been blown up, and no-one had been on the server.

Void briefly starred in a YouTube video by captainsparklez, a famous Minecraft video maker and expert on Redstone, called 'Fallen Kingdom'. The song was a parody of Viva La Vida and showed Void killing a guard, breaking into the king's castle and releasing the mobs jailed in it. It is probably the best place to see Void in action.

Void has been in Minecraft since Alpha 1.0.0 and has not been removed, unlike 'Herobrine'. His first sighting was, of course, on the first ever release of the game, Alpha 1.0.0.

You should have noticed that when I write 'Herobrine', I put it inside two apostrophes, to indicate Herobrine most likely did not exist. Let me explain.

'Herobrine' was reported to have been sighted on a Tiny render distance in Peaceful mode. This could cause some disagreement. The figure in the fog could have possibly been Void, but due to the low visibility, the person who sighted him may not have received the full details of his features. Now that 'Herobrine' has become much more well known, Void has sunk back into secrecy, known only to a few.

Herobrine has been said to be a coding error. Perfectly acceptable - but a coding error on what? Void and 'Herobrine' both share the white-eyed characteristic - they must have been somehow related. Therefore, 'Herobrine' may have been a coding error on Void.

Never engage Void in combat. The outcome is always the death of the player, as Void is constantly on god mode.

I hope I have educated you for the future.
