Poem Of Habit

Reacting on an emotion,
And writing it on paper,
Focusing on the moment,
And ripping it apart,

Studying thoughts in my head,
For the words I once said,
Finding the answer,
In the deepest corner,

Finding the words that fit together,
Even if it disturbs the order,

Use this modern age,
To open the cage,
To express the inner rage,
And the silent smile,
With the slightly senile,

Writing for the sake of the reader,
Or to get a weight of your shoulder?
The task is the same,
No matter what your aim,

Create a poem or story,
That explains your point of view,
A project or habit,
That gives your hands something to do.

Muse

If I do not keep on writing. Then the ink will seep within. Causing an inner struggle. Solved only by the pen. The notebook is my body. And the folds create my heart. But without my muse.

Not Rank.

When I write on Opuss, I write to be heard, Not to become first... Or second... Or third. Yes, that's a challenge, But not a single aim, It ruins every prospect, Of the word-fuelled game.

Urge

It's late at night. But I had an urge to write. Sometimes I get these itches. Ripping me like broken stitches. So I make a rhyme. To past the time. Or because words start to flow.

Napkin Poem

Music in. The world out. Treated like a "rock star". And actually trying to sing. I feel like sleeping. But that just isn't happening. But this is what I enjoy. Writing on a napkin.

Words

A way with words is what they say, I never knew before this day. A smile upon my face when I write something I think is good, a scowl when it's not understood.

Doodlewords

My poems are just doodlewords, They don't take long to write. I observe the world around me, By ear, by nose or sight. By then my brain has started, To note a line or two.

Rhyme

It's a vicious cycle, one that has no end. I rhyme and rhyme and rhyme... Till fate will finally send. I need to get it down, before it fills my head. Every paper must have words. All ink must be...
