Betrayed

What happened to you? You used to be so wonderful;
You were a sister-like figure whose advice I'd always take to heart.

We could talk for hours it seemed, never wanting to part,
You'd share all your secrets, confide in me, and have my trust.

It all seemed illustrious; the perfect friend whom I'd never lose.
But then change happened; poison coursed through your veins,
And I've no clue as to what you turned into:

You became a shadow; a shattered reflection of your former self.
You'd burn those who held you dear, cutting the ties that they harboured you with.

And after you'd finished your childlike tantrum,
You expected to come home into open arms.
I foolishly welcomed you back,
But I soon came to realise my mistake.

Now, you linger, still bound by the ties I made long ago.
And even though I forcefully comfort you when you are dismayed,
I'll never be able to shake the feeling of when I was betrayed.

I Love You Too

Sometimes i wonder why you want to hang out with the "cool" people, instead of me. Why can't you see that your so called "friends" are changing you into a different person that isn't the true YOU.

Nobody

He was nobody; a boy. He was somebody; to her. Hair clung to her face. Wet cheeks from the rain. Or was it from tears. She loved him so. He healed her heart. To heal her fear. Cost a hefty price.

I. Hate that I love you. Hate that I need you. Hate who you pretend to be. I. Melt in your arms. Gasp at the fire in my soul. Hold you as though I know you. You are a drug. You are dangerous.

Wow! Beautiful👏👏

@Mali_Kate thankyou! 😄

Very good. 👏👏💚

Is this from personal experience Hun ....it's very heartfelt 💔❤💔

@misslittleDHP indeed it is! All of my writing is based on personal experiences; I love people to be able to relate to what I write! 😊

In that case...I send a big hug....I was in a similar situation with my brothers former wife...we were really close and then when I began dating a friend of hers she turned nasty and vile...me and my brother didn't speak for 4 years and she ripped the family apart....I tried to tolerate her for my brother but she was impossible...in the end I realised my brother needed to find out all for himself what she was like...which he did!!...it was sooooo awful though and made me sick with worry...a twisted young lady she was....I hope you find either common ground or a solution soon Hun 😘😘😘😘💪💪💪💪💪

@misslittleDHP aww, I'm sorry to hear about that! But if we didn't go through such experiences, we wouldn't have such fine literature on Opuss, would we? 😊 but yeah, we are still sort of friends, as referenced by the last stanza, but she is still unpleasant. The only reason I am friends with her is because deep down, underneath all that nastiness she shows sometimes, was the best friend I relied on long ago! 😊💚💚
