There was a girl just aged seven,
When her mother went to heaven,
And her father turned for worst,
and then guess who felt it first?
Before the tears and pain,
The little girl would remember again,
What her mother would say,
When the world was in her way,
Listen, and look up high,
Past the clouds, to where the birds fly,
Not everything's what you want it to be,
But if the worlds in a mess look for me.
Through the burning fire,
No anger but desire,
As she felt the pain,
She looked to the sky again,
She would see her mother,
So different from any other,
Now her tears wouldn't fall,
In the pain she would no longer call.
But sadly the pain carried on,
Yet she stood as beautiful as a swan,
Whenever her dad came home drunk,
And with his anger would confront.
One time he went too far,
One of his hits, left a scar,
And some how, it couldn't be erased,
And somehow he wasn't fazed.
As his child lay in a crumpled heap,
And her heart gave one last final leap,
And her life no longer carried on.
When the police searched, but could not find,
They had no evidence, there were just blind,
When what did they discover,
A diary like no other,
The little girls story, from the start,
Revealing everything from her little heart,
Something so beautiful in every way,
If you struggle, just look up high,
Past the clouds, to where the birds fly,
I've learnt that sadly not everything's not what you want it to be,
But if it's a mess you can look for me.
