Dusk Meeting

Trees sway in the breeze
Leaves fall onto brown grass
I shiver and hug myself,
I glance at my watch out of glass.

Only 2 minutes,
Until he arrives here.
While I wait for that minute,
I watch the sun dissapear.

I'm caught up in this
Beautiful scene of nature,
So I don't hear him coming.
This better not be a failure.

I stare at this guy.
He stares right back at me.
A painful silence is broken.
"Okay, you better agree."

He talks about 'Us'
As leaves swirl around.
He says I need to 'Forgive'
He stops for me- I give no sound.

I need to think now.
I can't choose that quickly.
My initial answer is 'No!'
But can I say that...? I feel sickly.

He says he'll come back
Or call me on the phone.
Now he leaves me in darkness,
Trees rustle by my side- I'm alone...
