The Man

Am I the hurting man,
The doer of death?
The one who slays thousands,
With every breath?

Am I the quiet man,
Secretly stalking?
Hiding, www scanned,
Silently walking?

Am I a happy man,
At peace and content?
Whatever the plan,
Whichever the moment?

Am I a mad man,
Talking gibberish?
From gobbledygook land,
Completely British?

Am I a talented man,
Clever and crafty?
Gifted, swift of hand,
Intellectual and arty?

Am I the dirty man,
In poo and perverse?
The one who smells bad,
Has some sort of curse?

Am I a living man,
Breathing today?
Doing all I can,
Just to be this way?

Am I a typical man,
Like you and you?
Mr Average, a grain of sand,
Lost, dispersed and through?

Monster Staring At Me

As I looked into the mirror I saw a monster. It had scruffy dark hair. And long eyelashes. As I stared at it. I could see its dark grey eyes staring back at me. As I reached up to my face.

Cruel Mirror.

What have I ever done to you. To make you lie, so cruel. What have I ever done to you. To provoke this harshest duel. Why must you lie straight in my face. Why must you lie to me.
