It was the beginning of March when I noticed.
Before I saw things.
Before they took place.
Before I realised...
I could see things just before they happen. Things that I couldn't explain nor could I tell anyone about them.
I could foresee events.
My name is josh Edwards I am 15 years and 10 months of age. I attend my local secondary school which is a 10 minute drive away from the peacefully eccentric village I live in, but unlike anyone else In my school I'm different or 'unique' as my mum calls it. I have the power to foresee events, events before they take place.
It is Monday the 17th of March and as I'm slipping on my school uniform and making sure my top button is fastened and my tie is straight, all ready for another week of school I hear my mum call up to me from the bottom of the stairs "come on Joshua your going to be late for school!" I don't reply and instead just make a grumbling sound like it is to much effort to talk.
Like it is to much effort to do anything anymore. And that's because it is, it really is to much effort.
It was 7:15am before I finally made my way downstairs only 45 minutes until I set off for school.
"I've made your favourite, beans, eggs, bacon and sausages" my mum says to me with a openingly warm smile as she places the plate on the table.
"don't get it on your uniform lad" dad says with a playful but serious tone.
"I won't" I say. It's not like I care if I got it dirty anyway.
As we make our way to school. My mum and I that is. In our red Peugeot 107.
My mum says "what's up josh? You hardly touched your breakfast and youve spent the past few days in your bedroom" I don't reply and instead act like I didn't hear anything I just continue to stare out the window.
As we pull up just outside of school about 10 yards from the gates my mum suddenly locks the doors so there is no escape "son, you know you can tell me anything right?" I pause for a few seconds and nod slowly. "so tell me what's been bothering you? Are you having trouble at school?" mum says and I can see her eyes beginning to fill up "no mum everything is fine honest" I reply with a fake smile begining to sprout from the side of my face. Mum just smiles back and I hear a click which means the doors are unlocked, I take no chance and quickly open them and scurry out while there is still chance.
