11:11 Chapter 9

Text you later? I'm supposed to text him now? All the time? It's not like we're dating or anything.. Right?
Josh's POV
Damn I wish I could've stayed longer! I wish I would've talked to her more! Ugh I'm such an idiot! She was sitting right next to me! I could smell her watermelon lip balm.. Not that I know what that smells like or anything.. And her hair, it's the perfect color of brown and her eyes are— Wait what am I thinking! She doesn't love me, she probably doesn't even like me. I don't want to think of her as more than just a friend but I can't help it. As soon as I get home I run upstairs and grab an old jacket.
Payton's POV
I walk down to our basement and grab some old Disney Princesses movies. I walk across the street o Abby's house with them in my arm.
I ring the door bell twice, like I always do.
No answer.
I try the door knob to see I it's locked. It's locked.
They must be gone. I thought.
I mope back across the street and inside of my house.
I guess I'll watch them by myself. I walk down to our newly finished basement again and sit down on the leather sofa. I pop in one of the movies and start making some popcorn in our new popcorn machine. My dad isn't home because he works a night shift so I'm used to being home alone. I sit down on the couch.
I KNEW YOU WERE TROUBLE WHEN YOU WALKE–!
(On the phone)
"Hello?" I say.
"Hey Payton."
It's Josh.
"Why did ya call me?" I ask.
"Oh uh, I left my jacket at your house.." He says.
"Oh do you want me to bring it to your house?" I ask.
"No I'll come and get it.. I'll be there in about 5 minutes." Josh says.
"Ok I go look for it." I say.
"Ok, bye." He says.
"Bye." I say.
I hit end and pause my movie. I run upstairs to look in the kitchen.
Not there.
In the living room.
Not there either.
Might as well check in my room I think as I walk up the stairs.
Not there either.
Where is it?
I hear a knock at the door. I practically fall down the stairs, tripping over my own feet. I walk to the door and open it.
"Come on in." I say to Josh.
"Thanks, did ya find it?" He asks.
"No I looked everywhere!" I exclaimed.
"Oh, so whatcha been up to?" He asks casually.
It's like he never even lost his jacket..
Josh's POV
I hated having to trick Payton, but I wanted to see her so badly! I brought a jacket with me so I'll just lay it somewhere after a while.
"I was gonna watch some movies, other than that.. Looking for your jacket!" She says.
It seems like she's in a good mood so maybe she'll let me stay for a while and watch the movies with her..? But should I ask her? I don't want to be rude.
"Cool what movies?" I ask.
"Disney Princess movies.. I was gonna see if Abby wanted to watch them with me but she wasn't home."
"Oh, my favorite Disney Princess movie is Ariel..?" I say, hoping to start a conversation.
"That's my favorite to! Like legit!" She says. "It's been my favorite since I was a little kid!"
"Are you watching tonight?" I ask.
"Uh, duh! It's in the VCR right now. You wanna watch it with me? But you don't have to.."
"Yeah! Uh, I mean, Uh sure."
"I'm watching them in the basement.. You can grab a soda out of the fridge if ya want." She says.
"Cool." I say as I grab a Green Apple soda. "This is the best stuff ever!"
I crack it open and take a big gulp.
"Ah refreshing!" I say.
She walks over and gets herself one.
"Come on." She says while walking down the basement stairs.
