It's easy to forget how much time has past
Since I held your hand and kissed you last.
All I have to do is close my eyes to see
When there was only you and me

Sights and sounds, smells and songs return within
I smell your scent and feel your touch against my skin
In that split second I hear your voice whisper in my ear
You are ever with me and will always hold me near

In my dreams we still share love in every way
Taking our fill of life's buffet
Reality intrudes and truth makes its abrupt attack
Dreams are the only place I can have our time back

Until death rejoins us or sets me free
I will live on in blissful memory
Come walk once more with me a while
Hold my hand and make me smile
