Three pieces today I have read,
One inspirational two left me shaking my head.
A mirror reflects what's plain to see,
A person should project the best they can be.
A sound bite that crumbles on scrutiny,
Is not the way to define 'happy'.
Don't sell yourself short, expect and ask for more,
Never fear disappointment behind a closed door.
If you deserve better, do not be scared to complain,
The purpose is to improve, not to cause pain.
Do not judge on shallow attributes of birth,
But always judge others on their merits, that's what they're worth.
When the trials of life can seem too much to bear,
Thankfully one Opussian has wise words to share.
Lap it up, drink it in, mark my words and be warned,
Offer advice that is positive, lest you be scorned.
