Journal Entry 20 Slenderman

I burst through the bed room door to find Octavius sitting up, curled up with his knees tucked up close to his chest. He was rocking back and forth crying. I rushed over to his side and wrapped him in my arms. "Just go back to sleep sweetheart. You're safe now," I whispered in his ear. That's exactly what he'd done. While he was sleeping I just sat there with my arms wrapped around him trying to think of was to finish this once and for all. We had to get him before he got one of us and I couldn't bare that thought. I didn't even want to imagine a world with out my precious Octavius and when it came down too it, I'd sacrifice myself for him if I had too. I knew he would never let me do that though. Finally an hour went by and his eyes fluttered open. He stared up at me. "I knew my pillow felt awfully strange," he said looking up at me. I kissed his forehead. He smiled. It was such a beautiful sight that my breath caught in my throat. I wish that everyday could be like this instead of having to wake up every morning wondering if it my time to go. I knew soon that we would be able to put this all behind us though. I just wanted to hurry up and get past it already. I looked down at him. "We need to leave for Australia soon, Love," I reminded him. He quickly snapped into reality and his smile slowly disappeared. I felt my heart sink in my chest. He sat up and took my hand in his. "Are you sure that you can do this?," he asked. I nodded, ready to face anything with him. "Once we get a cast on your hand, we'll head out that way," he said. I looked at the calendar. It was Tuesday and I'd broke my hand Monday so we wouldn't be able to leave till Friday. I nodded my head. That just gave us more time to think of a plan. He placed his hand under my chin and forced me to meet his gaze. "In the meantime, relax for a bit," he said gently pushing me down on the bed. He pressed his lips softly to mine and for a second it felt as if everything was back to normal. He pulled away, a smile streched across his face. "I love you so much," he said softly caressing my cheek.
