The next day I noticed something was off. I couldn't tell what it was but there was a feeling deep within me telling me something was terribly wrong. I just brushed it off and got ready for another boring day of school. On my way out I grabbed a notebook that I had dedicated to my Slenderman research. I climbed into my old pickup truck and made my way too school. It was abnormally dark outside which kind of gave me the creeps for some reason. When I pulled in I noticed Jewel's car wasn't there. I kept telling myself she was just sick but I knew deep inside that it was something far more worse. I spent the rest of the day taking notes on Slenderman in my notebook. I didn't know I was putting my life at risk at the time. After school let out I decided to go visit Jewel again. I made a promise with myself that I wouldn't bring up anything about Slenderman. I wanted to be there for here as a friend even if she was blowing this myth out of proportion. When I got there I was greeted by Jewel herself instead of her nanny. "I knew you were coming," she said "I have something to show you." She grabbed me by my wrist and lead me to her room. When we got in there she shut the door and started pacing the floor. I noticed that there was an actual path worn into her carpet. "I know it sounds crazy but I can feel him getting closer," She said. I looked up at her, puzzled. "Incase something happens to me, I want you to have this," She said, pointing to a rather large cardboard box in the corner of her room. She looked around as if some unseen presence in the room had said something. "He's here," She said, looking at me. "But it's day time," I said. She gave me a puzzled look. "According to my research, Slenderman can't stand the day light," I said. She let out a sigh of relief. "Look," I started, looking Jewel in the eye, "I didn't come here to get more into this Slenderman mess, I came here as A friend who cares and loves you like family. I want to make sure you're ok and if you need anything, I'm here for you," I finished. She nodded and said, "I think I'm going to try and get some sleep." "Ok," I said. I got up to leave. "Jewel, I love you," I said I grabbed the box and made my way out. After I got the box loaded I drove home. I got home and carried the box back to my room. I replayed Jewels words over and over again in my head. I didn't want anything to happen to her. I didn't want her to disappear forever...
