My word for today is:
'Lugubrious'
Which means mournful, dismal or gloomy. I'm going to try to use it as many times as possible. I might attempt to throw it in my sentences in inappropriate places and see if anyone notices, e.g.
"Could you please pass me the lugubrious cheese?"
