btw if people read this and got confused, this book is a sequel to The Burned.. So read that please
I checked for more information on the envelope but it just said "Alyssa Callaway" my name, in super fancy calligraphy. I wonder how long it took them just to write that. Maybe they had one of those calligraphy pens. I'm getting off topic. I walked inside, it had begun to sprinkle outside, deep storm clouds were rolling in. I sat on my kitchen counter. My lizard, Zazzy, was in it's cage next to me. She made a weird noise. I giggled and carefully opened the envelope. Inside was a piece of paper with the same fancy writing on it, before I could read it I heard Adam getting up out of the chair. "Lissy?" he called. "in here!" I replied, loud enough for him to hear me. He walked into the kitchen. "what's that?" he asked. "just something in the mail, I still have to read it." he leaned over my shoulder and read it with me. 84 Lovett Lane 6 o'clock. That was Aprils address. Was it April's little sister Grace who sent it maybe? Maybe her mom wanted to talk. The Grays were such a nice family, their dad was usually out of town because of his job though. "strange" Adam murmured. "maybe Grace wants to talk" I suggested. Adam had a younger brother, Zachary, in the same class as Grace and when April went missing Grace really took it hard. I checked my watch, it was a soft robins egg blue, my favorite color. It was already 5:30. "we better get going" Adam said. "you're going too?" I asked. Adam stuck his tongue out at me, "gotta protect you of course!" he exclaimed. I hadn't been to her house since last summer. I walked out the door and Adam followed. I still had the letter in my hand with the envelope. "is there more?" Adam asked. I flipped the paper over. There was a picture of a pretty box with letters in it.
~just telling you, you aren't gonna get that last part unless you read the Burned. Anywho, please comment!!
