Me Myself And I (Part 1)

"Listen, Jo," Miles said, Staring into my baby blue eyes. He looked worried and upset, like some one had died. Our fingers were loosely linked.
"Remember April?" He was slowly unravelling his fingers from mine. My eyes were pricking with tears as if pins were forever stabbing them. I could tell what was going to happen next.
"Well... Something happened. I couldn't stop thinking about her, and... so it took a few - It's not that- Urgh, I'm just going to say it. We're together now... I'm so sorry!"
I didn't say anything.
We were together for four months. I know we are only in year 9 and we had to break up at some time... But it's scary when you realise it's actually happening.
Tears roll down my face. I'm so confused.
Am I over-reacting?
"Please say something,... I can't take the silence. I really hope we can still be mates, please?"

I stand up and walk away.
He is leaving me for April? Last time I checked, she was the popular one that was mean to every body else. What was he thinking? He's far too good for her. I'M far to good for her, right, or am I being boasty? I just continue walking and walking.

I'll show him. He'll miss me.
