Me Myself And I (Part 5)

"What? This is so sudden..." I say,falling back on my chair. "When?"
"The sooner the better," Mum replied to me.
"But why?" I say.
"They'll give me a huge promotion if I come this month because they have a huge issue going on there and need urgent help. I only found out a few week ago. It really is a shock for all of us," Dad explains. I sit silently and try to take it all in.
"All the way to Cornwall?" I surprisingly cried.
"All the way to Cornwall." My father echoed.
Was this a good idea to move to Cornwall? It was such a big step but all I wanted to do was block out Miles from my life. Then I suppose I'd have to leave Lucy, my best friend. Then again, I'm sure SHE wouldn't mind, even if I did. She's left me. She's been there all my life though, and I don't just want to leave her. Or do I.
Taking a deep breath, I just keep thinking. Was this for the best?

"You don't need to decide anything now if you don't want to, honey. But like I say, the sooner the better," Mum says comforting me.
