It was around 4 o'clock. Nick and I were driving on the highway for no reason in particular, it has been a week since our Mom visited us. We have no idea where she is now. I was kicked back into reality when I felt the car start putting until it slowly stopped.
"Um, babe." Nick said.
"What?"
"We are out of gas."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean exactly what I said."
"We are stranded in the middle of nowhere?!" I started to panic.
"Yeah..."
"Oh no."
"Sorry, baby I'm so sorry."
"No!" I couldn't breathe, I was freaking out.
"Calm down."
"I can't! This is terrible."
"We have cellphones." Nike said like captain obvious.
"My phone is dead." I said.
"Mine isn't." Nick said as he got his cellphone out. I was startled when I heard a thump. I noticed that it was Nick who made that thump. He threw his phone at the steering wheel.
"It's dead isn't it."
"Yes." He said as he punched the window. I saw the glass shatter into a million pieces and drop to the ground. Everything was in slow motion. Nick's hand was bleeding really bad. I hate the sight of blood. He was whimpering in pain. I saw a small piece of glass flicker in the light stuck about an inch into his hand. I couldn't breathe. I just kept thinking. We were stranded, Nick was hurt and bleeding, we had no gas. I choked on my tears and then everything went black. ...
