Smells Like Teen Spirit. (Chapter 39)

I woke up to a noise coming from the window. I looked over towards the window with sleepy eyes. A tall muscular colored guy stood by the window. I was immediately freaked out. I looked over to my other side and saw Nick soundly asleep. I didn't want to disturb him but I had to do this. What if this guy was a cereal killer? I thought to myself. I shook Nick awake and pointed to the window. The guy was just standing there now, looking in the window at us.
"Oh, he wants to help us." Nick said.
"Are you crazy?!" I whispered, yelled. Why would Nick want to talk to a big muscular guy. Like I said he could be a cereal killer! Ok, maybe I was overreacting. I looked back over at the man and saw him smiling warmly at us.
"Come on, I'm not crazy. He could help us." Nick said.
"Yeah, you're right." I said. I opened up the car door on my side after getting a reassuring look from Nick.
"Hello." I said.
"Hello, what are you guys doing out here this late at night?" The man spoke in a deep voice but with a little tent of friendliness. He smiled.
"Well, our car is broke down." Nick suddenly spoke up.
"Oh, we'll maybe I could give you two a ride." The man said. At first I would have to say I was freaked out with getting in a car with a man I didn't know but I thought it over and decided too.
"That would be wonderful. Oh, and it's three by the way." I said warmly. The man looked at me confused.
"She's pregnant." Nick said, stopping his confused look.
"Oh." The man said.
"Yeah, we'll lets get going." I said.
"That's a Great idea." The man agreed. Nick and I got out of the car and headed over to his nice blue car. I saw an old lady in the drivers seat. That's weird, I thought he was alone.
"Who is that?" I asked.
"Oh, her. That's just my Mom."He smiled.
"Oh, I feel stupid now."
"Don't." He said. I decided to look at Nick sense he hasn't talked since we got out of the car. He looked concerned, for some reason. I decided to just keep my mouth shut. We got in his car and gave him directions to the apartment we have been living in for about 3 weeks. We exchanged phone numbers and Nick and I walked into the apartment.
"I'll pick up the car tomorrow." Nick said.
"Ok, can you make dinner tonight?" I asked.
"Sure." Nick said. I walked into the living room and watched t.v and then ate dinner and went to bed with Nick.
