I was sat in maths, just like any other day, when he walked in. There was still the usual musty teenage smell, and John Barch's hideous teaching methods. The only difference was him, he looked different. The only seat left was the one next to me, the other girls were ogling at him like he was a prince. I did not need this right now. My mother had disowned me and dad just didn't care anymore. I didn't care that he had money, I wanted a proper father figure. Knowing him that would never, ever, happen.
I twiddled with my diamond eyebrow piercing as I texted Cee.
OMG Some pretentious new kid just took the seat next to me, GET ME OUT OF HERE! J xx
I looked to my left to see this new kid, suddenly sadness filled my body. He looked like Finn. Finn was somebody I'd never get over, I was four when I'd met him, me and Cee were in his swimming class for three years before we joined prep school together. Then when he turned thirteen he was hit by a train and died instantly.
