Do you believe in ghouls and goblins?
Keep your thoughts in your head.
Dare you answer
While I perch here on the end of your bed?
Unseen, asking these questions
While you pull your covers up.
Covers won't protect you
From the ghostly devils of the night,
While we run rampant round your room.
Is it too soon
To tell you there's a banshee by your head?
All you see is the indent
Of my bum as I sit here,
All you feel is a tickle of cold down your neck.
Is this just your imagination?
Or is it all real?
Who knows,
We can never tell.
You only find out when it's too late
And we've driven you mad
So no-one will believe you.
Does fear stop you believing now?
Is the worry that it might be real enough to make you think twice,
Enough to tell your rational side
Not to denounce the supernatural side
