Have you washed you hands?
No? Well then you naughty thing!
You'll have to wash them. Stand
In front of the bathroom sink,
I'll lift you if you need it,
Cos if you don't wash your hands
I'm afraid you'll never beat it.
It being all the germs
Snuggled in the creases
Of skin upon your little palms.
Their activity never ceases.
You'll grow hair all over your body
And a set of fifty teeth,
Your toenails will go curly
And flowers will sprout from your cheeks.
The Child Catcher will have to come for you
And whisk you off, away
To be quarantined, immunised, cleaned
In a bubble bath some day.
So wash your hands my little one,
Wash your hands my dear,
Or one day you'll regret it
And get very ill I fear.
