If I Saw You Earlier

Chapter 40

I woke up, remembering nothing for a split second. Then everything came back to me. James was sleeping beside me. He was topless I thought. I closed my eyes again.
I thought of what to do today. Anything but not run away from James. I loved him, but if I had to choose I would leave me to be in heaven. But he stayed here.

" good morning, I know you are awake baby, don't lay there with closed eyes". He said while he came closer. He laid on me with his chest pressed mine.

He started kissing my neck, then my lips. I kissed him back and I suddenly felt his hands on my waist. My hands were on his shoulders. Then he stopped.

" why?". I asked. I was confused.
" I wanted to show you what you could have lost if you left me. And this was a bit of it baby". He said with a smile as he sat in bed.

" I can't believe I did that! I am so sorry!!". I wanted him to tell me everything will be okey, that he forgave me. But his answer made me jump out of the bed.

" I am in love with you and I told you I will fight to keep you with me but if you run away next time you won't be seeing me again. I don't want a girl who runs away from a guy who loves her". He said it with that serious voice.

I walked to the bathroom. Took a hot shower and came out to see our bags on the bed.

" what's that?". I asked while I stated at the weekend bags.
" we are getting away from here". He said with a smile.
" we have to leave this behind us, sorry I told you that this morning. But it's true and I can't be mad at you". He said as he came closer to me. He hugged me while I was warped in my towel.

I got dressed and finished packing my bag. Then I walked to the cab. James was behind me and then as we sat in the cab, I asked him ;
" where are we going?".
