If I Saw You Earlier

Chapter 22

He took my hand and walked with me down stairs. The kitchen was enormous with a beautiful dinning table.

As I looked at the window, the sun was up shining and I heard the waves. I stepped on my toes and saw it. The ocean. It was blue with nice waves.

" this is my summer house". He said while he hugged me from behind. He put his head on my shoulder and said
" this is where I come every summer". He said then gave me a kiss on the cheek.

" why? How did we get here?".
Then he told me. After I fell, he caught me and I past out. John can't fly when the sun comes out. He felt the sun and landed in time. He drove away cause he had no chance with James and his wings.

James continued by telling me how I was so tiered and shaken up by every thing. He told me I woke on the plane but I had a headache. So that medicine made me sleepy.

This was our second day. I slept through the day cause of the jet lag.

" that explains a lot. But why are we here?".

" it's sunny and no demon can come and hurt us, you and I are save here". He said as he opened the fridge.
" apple juice?". He said while he looked at the opened fridge.
" yeah, I am hungry". I answered.

He took out two blueberry muffins and two glasses. Them he filled them up with the cold apple juice.

I took a seat in front of him. The table was big but we sat near each other.

" how long will we stay here?". I answered taking a bite of that muffin.

" I don't know. We can travel all over the place if that's what you want. Baby I want you to be save and I will make sure to do that". He said looking at me. He looked me deep in the eyes.

" your eyes look well rested". He said with a smile.
" I slept, for days now". I said smiling.
" I don't even want to sleep". I added.
