On his secret mission to foil the Sprouts, who were planning to take over Mash Potato Mountain!

Dropped in by spoon
In the afternoon,
down the Grayvee River,
past Cauliflower Fields.
Cautiously creeping, consciously,
through the Pea Graveyard.
Onward to the secret Sprout lair!

Blending in perfectly among the trees of Broccoli Wood and sneaking like only a cucumber can,
His careful plan in tatters
As he spots a Carrot Patrol.

(Now, carrots are well renowned
for their excellent vision and they too are after the Sprouts. But with their cunning plan, are just about to erase Cucumis from the competition!)

They spotted him with the greatest of ease and screamed so much they they shook the trees.

Nine seconds flat and there were Sprouts everywhere.
His cover gone, nowhere to run.

A prisoner of vegetable warfare.

But Cucumis Sativus, elusive as ever, evaded capture from the evil Sprout army.
