Texas Girl (Pt 56)

Good times :) x

Justin's POV
The whole family sat around the fire that next night, conversing and cooing over the announcement I had made at breakfast that same morning. Obviously I couldn't do it last night, everyone had been out for a meal, and when they got back, Drew and I were... Uh... Busy.
"Let's see the ring again Drew!" Ella, my Step-Mother swooned, sitting the other side of Drew on the long leather sofa. Drew blushed bright red and held out her left hand. This must be the fifth time Ella's asked to see it. She loves it.
"You're so lucky! Jeremy, take notes from your son" she pointed at my Father in the armchair opposite, making everybody laugh.
The gathering consisted of me, Drew, my Brother and Sister, my Mother and Father, my Stepmother, my grandparents, and my Aunty and uncle. Eleven of us in total. All swooning over the 'Young Love'.
"I'm actually intrigued Justin," Drew turned to me as I sat casually beside her, my arm thrown carelessly around her shoulder, keeping her close to me, as close as I could.
"How much did it cost? And before you answer, I don't care of it's from Wal-Mart" she giggled, and everybody else laughed along with her.
Ah crud. I should have seen this question coming. It was like a flashing neon sign that I hadn't noticed, I was much too busy staring at my beautiful Fiancé. I love that word. I love that word for Drew.
"Well, come on Justin, how much?" my Grandmother prompted me with a poke in the rib, making me squirm away and closer to Drew.
"Just... You know... A good amount of money" I shrugged softly, keeping my expression and motions totally nonchalant.
All eyes were on me, waiting to hear the insane amount of money I had spent on Drew.
"Ok, Biebah, spill" Jazzy stood, placing her tiny hands on her infant hips. Everybody burst out laughing at her grown-up-like attitude, her face a picture of sass and confidence.
As the laughter died, all the focus was on me once again.
"Alright Jazzy... It uh, it cost uh......" I muttered the amount so quietly that nobody could hear it.
"What?" a few family members asked simultaneously.
Drew gave me a warning look. She wanted to know. And she wanted to know now.
"Alright! Fine!" I sighed, giving in for her pretty face. I took a deep breath, and waited a few seconds to gather myself before speaking.
"26 and a half million dollars".
Everybody's jaws dropped simultaneously. Even Jaxon's, and he's only two.
"Are you kidding me?" Drew gasped, looking down at the golden ring on her finger.
"Nope, the ring cost twenty six and a half million" I chuckled at her shocked expression.
"Oh my god. That's insane!" she gasped again, looking up at me.
"I wanted you to have the best" I shrugged, staring at her with pure love in my eyes as my family 'Awwwed'.
Drew blushed gently and looked up at me from underneath dark black lashes.
"You didn't have to get me a fancy ring... I wouldn't of cared if it was from a cereal box" she murmured just loud enough for me to hear. My heart melted at the sound of her words, and I didn't care that I was in front of my entire family, I was going to kiss my fiancé.
I leant in and gave her a sweet, tender kiss, automatically making the surrounding people smile and coo once again. I pulled back with a gentle grin, Drew mirroring my expression as we stared at each other for a few moments, before turning back to my family.
"I know it's not full of really expensive diamonds and all, but it's been re-made and re-made with the finest jewellers over centuries. The gold is priceless, and the rubies have never had to have been replaced. It's vintage, but, of the best kind. That's why it's so expensive" I explained, recalling all of the things the jeweller had told me when I'd purchased the ring.
"It's one of the most expensive rings in existence. Second I think. I would have gotten you the first, but Barack Obama's wife has it".
Everyone burst out laughing, and Drew smiled at me lovingly.
I'd never get tired of that smile.
Never.
Not ever.

I walked out of the en suite bathroom in my boxers, having showered, brushed my teeth and left my hair messy.
Drew lay out flat on the bed in the darkness, the light of the TV casting dancing silhouettes on the wall behind her. I smiled and clambered on the bed beside her, mirroring her position of hands folded over her stomach, and legs straight out.
We stared at the ceiling, and I wished to know what she was thinking.
"Penny for your thoughts?" I said gently, breaking the silence of the muted TV.
"I was just thinking..." Drew smiled softly, looking up at the white ceiling of our room. Our room. Yup, I love it.
"Thinking what?".
"That India is my daughter, so...".
It hit me like a ton of bricks.
"So India's my daughter too". My expression went blank, my lips slightly parted at the rush of emotion I was feeling in that moment.
"Having second thoughts?" Drew half-heartedly laughed, but you could easily tell by the sound of her giggle she was petrified I had changed my mind.
"What?" I rolled over on my side so I was facing her. "No way. Never. Actually, it just makes me want this more" I breathed, my heart pounding at the thought of the small infant I could now call my own, all the way back in Texas.
My Daughter. I'm her Father. She is my family now. India, the spitting image of Drew, belongs to me.
My heart began to swell up like a big balloon, full of so much love I thought it might just explode.
"I have a Daughter" I breathed the words, just to make sure they were true.
I stared at Drew, and pulled her into my chest, pressing my lips down firmly on hers. My hands held her to me by the small of her back, my tongue dancing delicate lines around every inch of her mouth.
When we pulled back, we were briefly silent, until a goofy smile crossed my face.
"Mrs. Bieber. Drew Bieber. Drew Anna Bieber" I grinned.
"It sounds weird" Drew giggled softly, her lips brushing over my cheek as we laughed together.
"It sounds perfect" I smiled at her, making her blush bright red, right before I started up again.
"Drew Bieber. Mrs. Drew Bieber. Mrs. Drew Anna Bieber" I grinned, loving the sound of my own words.
"Justin?".
"Yeah babe?".
"Shut up".
"Not for a million bucks".
"Don't you mean twenty six and a half million bucks?" she smirked at me, letting out a soft giggle.
"Aha. Touché Mrs. Bieber, touché" <3
