The Firefly case file:
Firefly was his first kill he stumbled upon her by pure chance... Way back when he was still a boy,
Still in a point of limbo after witnessing the horrific death of everything he knew, he wondered the streets day after day, night after night ,roaming oblivious to the living world around him. He would relive the short video clip imbedded in his mind, by now he knew every detail to the measurement of a television pixel l. As hard as he tried to change and edit his mental video reel he couldn't. They were gone, he should have died with them. If only that voice stayed silent when the cold razor pressed against his throat "Stop... Leave that one he is to be freed" was the cold inhuman monotone command that saved his life.
Why, what did it mean? Why was he spared.
Then something happened a girl brushed past him staring into his eyes "you need to watch ya self kid, bad things come out at night" she hissed before smiling and merging with the blackness of the shadows. Like a hypnotists finger snap he was awake, where am I? His thoughts scrambled only took seconds to fall into place his awareness flourishing absorbing the world around him. "The lady in the black" like a scent of freshly baked bread to your hunger he had to find her... Impulsively he ran to follow her trail. For days he tracked and observed her.
Following her, tracking her becoming her shadow... He masked himself in back cloth from head to toe, just like her.
He nick named her shadow girl until her habits emerged.
A creature of habit,
She would seduce the man or woman of a family home watching them like a predator casing any security measures and being granted access to the family home through invitation.
After sex with the prospective partner firefly would re-enter the home with a cloned key, disarm any security systems, rape both parents then murder them before finishing off anyone else in the house be it children or pets. Then burn the house to the ground before flying away into the night. Charles discovered his gift... By being so close to these predatory people he developed a sense which identified them.
He renamed her Firefly! And this firefly needed to die.
