When I arrive in class this morning, there is someone new. She stares into my eyes, her gaze following my every movement. I try not to meet her intent, sea- blue eyes, but struggle.
As I walk home, she follows.
In my dreams, she appears.
I'm constantly haunted by her pretty face. Every time I close my eyes, she's there.
20 days more, never changing.
'What do you want from me? What do I have to do to get you away?'
'Go there. I'll be waiting.'
And I know what she is referring to. All alone, I walk through the lonely meadow.
'I knew you would come.' she says behind me. I spin around to see her draw a knife.
'What are you doing?' I stutter nervously.
'I am your sister. Our parents dumped you for me. I've come to put you out of your misery. You are the angel and I am death. Say goodbye.'
I begin to run but it's too late. She's already thrown the knife.
