Chapter 10
Attention and Anticipation
"Scarlett, my friend, I was right all along!" Amber laughed.
"I know, I know!" I sighed.
As I walked to my next class with Amber I noticed that everyone was staring at me. Honestly, nothing was a secret at this school, of course everyone knew about me and Leon.
"Anyway, were just going as friends," I said.
Amber scoffed and raised hey eyebrows at me.
"Really? Because it seems like your the only one who thinks that, everyone else has other impressions!" Amber smirked.
I stuck my tongue out at her, but then I was serious again.
"Really Amber, I'm just going with him as friends tonight," I told her.
She nodded, but still had a small smile on her face, she was impossible sometimes.
"Come on, let's hurry up or we will be late for history," Amber said.
"History?" I repeated faintly.
"Yeah, what's wrong?" Amber frowned.
"Leon is in our history class!" I panicked.
Amber grinned and mouthed 'Have fun!' as she disappeared behind the door. I took a deep breath and hurried after her into my history class, Leon sat at a desk with him on one chair, his book on another. As soon as he saw me, he threw the book on the floor and held the chair for me to sit on.
"Um, thanks," I said quietly, and sat on the chair.
"Are you excited about tonight? I am! This is going to be so much fun! What should we see? How will we get to the cinema? I heard there is this new-" Leon babbled on, until I held up a hand to stop him.
"One question at a time!" I scolded him, smiling.
Leon nodded and suggested we watch an adventure movie, I didn't catch the name.
"Should we meet straight after school?" Leon asked.
"I kinda want to get changed first, I will meet you outside the school gates at 4:00pm," I said, I needed to get ready to go out, I couldn't just turn up in my school uniform.
"What should we do about eating?" Leon questioned.
"Hmm, we could always go somewhere to eat after the movie..." I said.
Leon nodded eagerly, and stood up. I frowned at him, why was he standing up?
"Aren't you coming?" Leon asked.
I noticed that nearly everyone had left the classroom, it was the end of the lesson. Whoa, time had gone so quickly!
"Sure, see you tonight!" I ran out the door.
