Skaters and Haters-Chapter 8

The second the alarm went off, 7:00am, I ran down the hall and into my room. It turned out Kay was already awake. She saw me standing in my boxers at the door. She noticed what I had in my hand immediately.
"Oh Red! You shouldn't have gone through all that for me!"
"I didn't." I joked, grinning, "Me and Kelly have been secretly having a passionate love affair!"
We laughed so loud we even woke up Jonny! He stormed into the room.
"Shut up guys, I mean it. I'm really tired." He yawned angrily, "Plus, it's a SATURDAY."
He stormed off back to the lounge and crashed out on the couch.
Me and Kay looked at each other.
"C'mere Red." Kay said softly.
I squashed up next to her and gave her Kelly. It was rather awkward, I mean, I was literally half-naked!
"You shouldn't have Red, I mean.... It's all my fault!" She cried.
"No! No no no! Of course it's not!" I said, making Kelly do little backflips on the quilt.
She shook her head.
"You're so wonderful Red!"
Then she kissed me on the cheek. I felt on top the world! So today, the three of us decided to head down to the beach to practice for the Skate Off in November. We spent about 2 hours there, we wanted to be as good as we possibly could!
"We need to seriously start practising", Kay said as we wandered around the beach.
I knew what she meant, if we won the money, then we could get out of here! I could go to New York to see my mom, Jonny could fly to England, to visit his family, and Kay... Well, I didn't know what Kay wanted.
