After we finished there was a silence. "S So me and Hannah can still date, right?"
"N no," mom said softly. "Mom!!! What he's my boyfriend!? You can't do that to me. I'm pregnant with him!!!"
"Sorry. Hannah, you can't. For gods sake your half siblings. I'm not letting that happen."
"MOM!!! LISTEN TO ME!!" I'm 17 I know what's right for myself so don't treat me how you used to. Embarrassing me. Joe is the only boy in my life. Don't do this to me. You were fine up until now. I knew something was going to go wrong with you!"
"Babes, calm down please. Don't say it like that. Remember, we need to do what's best for the baby. So calm it."
"NO!!! I won't! If mom won't let me date. I AM NOT GOING TO CALM DOWN!!!"
"Babes, you will." he gently patted my stomach and I heard the baby kick, for the first time.
Maybe it was a meaningful kick. To tell me I must calm. I don't know.
What was I going to do about mom?
"Hannah, think about your father. How he's going to feel with his two children dating." "Why aren't you upset? I would be crying my eyes if that piece of shit did that to me."
"Because I can't really. I feel like crying all day doing nothing else. But I have to look after you." "I'm old enough to do what I want and Joe is still my boyfriend." I quickly glanced at Joe's mom she had remained silent all through our conversation. Maybe she needed time alone.
I grabbed Joe by the hand and pulled him upstairs.
"Joe, I I just. What was that all about?"
"Leave it come on I need to take you out. Forget about this."
"How are we going to get there?" "In my car of course!"
We walked outside, there was a cool breeze, cooling us down.
I spotted a Ferrari in the drive and my jaw dropped. "Tha that is y your car?!" "Yeah. Perfect for today." I got in next to him and he asked, "Do you like bowling?" "Yeah. It's awesome. In Long Island I used to go every week. I'm so going to win!!!"
"No way! I'm a pro at it!" "Let's see then," I said giving him a grin.
He started to drive and I loved all the attention we got on the high streets. People were pointing and taking pictures.
A traffic light came and I kissed him, harder and harder I was hungry for more but the light turned green.
We pulled up by this busy street and there was a bowling centre, bar and a club.
"So which one do you want to go in first?" I didn't answer he just pulled me towards the bar.
God. How do I......
"Hey mate. This is my girlfriend. Can you fix us two large beers?" "Sure Joe,"the barman said.
"Joe. You. Are. A. Star." "No need to tell me something I know Hannah :P." I kissed more and more. Until this guy said "Ahem." On the table were our beers.
"Thanks," I said and Joe's friend winked at me.
"Are you deliberately trying to make me drunk or something?" "Yeah"
We drank and chatted until we finished our beers. I felt dizzy and my head felt weird.
"Maybe we should just leave the bowling." "Yeah." "I do have something to show you babe. Come with me."
He lead me towards a beautiful park which I hadn't spotted before. It was all dark but I could see things clearly.
I just lay down on the grass because I couldn't walk anymore, I felt too dizzy.
Joe came on top of me kissing me.
"Babe. Wait I want this moment to be perfect. Stand up." Eerrr ok. I stood up wondering what he was going to do.
He took this little purple velvet box out of his pocket and said, "This is early but I just had to ask you this." He got down on one knew and asked, "Will you marry me?"
I was shocked and surprised. I kissed him and kissed him. In between kisses i said,"Yes. I. Love. You."
