I'm the household item,
That you always overlook,
Hidden in the corners,
Concealing every nook.
Often moths have eaten me,
Often I'm just there,
Hide behind me, hide-and-seek,
To give your friends a scare.
I feel like I am lonely,
Just look right past, I'm dull,
Only looked at in the morning,
To give a yank or pull.
I hide the light and bring the dark,
Concealing all the fun,
For that I'm always victimised,
Don't just jump the gun.
'Just the curtain', yes that's me,
Killing all the joy,
Shielding all the light from me-
Don't act cruel and coy.
Sorry guys,
I'm sick of this,
I'm sick of it,
It takes the piss.
I'M A CURTAIN,
I DEMAND RESPECT,
So go home, look upon me,
And then reflect.
