A million stars in a starstruck sky,
There's one for me and you,
When you die you join those stars,
And become a star anew.
The brightest or the biggest,
A small one or a group,
Orion's Belt or Milky Way,
Part of a loop-the-loop.
Will you become a beacon?
One of the wildest there?
Or will you be something special,
A star so great it's rare?
Stars above my head at night,
Once people just like us,
To become something so beautiful,
Why put up such a fuss?
Stargazing makes me wonder,
Which star will I become,
And I've decided I don't care,
I've my own shine, and then some.
