Fostered.

Hiding from the world,
Because no one understands,
So many different mothers,
Ask to hold so many hands.

Another bed, another room,
My really mummy's gone,
I don't know why she left me or-
What it was that I did wrong.

Another 'Call me Daddy!',
No, I can't, for you're not him,
I know that I once had a dad,
Before my life grew dim.

Another home, unwanted,
A 'problem child' at heart,
When all I want's a family,
Of which I can be a part.

I applied to be a foster carer a few years back but the agency I went through went bust so we needed to re apply we haven't yet bothered but one day I maybe give it another try xx lovely write

This is lovely but so sad and true for so many! 😔

This is great, I can relate to it as my family fostered many people over many years and my closest friends were all in care for the majority of their lives. Well done :)

@tetti2 @crowncottage @Eamesy85 thank you all, I only know one foster cared child and they're completely happy - I guess I just wanted to write about the minority who wouldn't be 😊
