He sits alone and quietly,
On the corner of the bed,
Watching her grow up,
Realisation in his head.
He's had a comfy spot these years,
To watch the girl grow old,
Loved her from the very start,
From when he was first sold.
From when he had two arms and legs,
Where now his limbs don't match,
And when his fur was even-spread,
Not there patch by patch.
His button eyes have lost their glow,
Inside though he's still warm,
His love and passion still burn bright,
For his diminished form.
He'll always be a loyal friend,
Be there when she is low,
But thoughts still flee across his head,
Will she make him go?
