A photograph is all I have,
To remember you.
I remember when we bought you,
Fragile and brand new.
You stuck your nose outside your box,
Curious from the start.
And with a face like that,
You surely won my heart.
The cutest little bunny,
With brown eyes and fur and nose.
Wriggling from cardboard confines,
From ears to your toes.
And so you became one of us:
A family member true.
And since then, you have departed,
There's a empty place for you.
Named before those well-known films,
Before the best-sold book:
Twilight, as we named you,
We fell: line... sinker... hook.
We had you EIGHT long years,
A house pet: free to roam.
And coming back from work and school;
You made our house a home.
You had a wife: Quicksilver,
A life-long friend, and love.
And when it came to dinner time,
Not afraid to steal or shove.
And yet this year, you both left.
I cried for days on end.
But looking at this photograph,
I know the love we send.
I love you Twilight, Quicksilver.
I miss you ever day.
At least I have these memories:
That's all I have to say.
