A kind word at the right moment,
A hug, my head pressed against your chest,
When you kiss my forehead,
Or just hold me,
Running your fingers through my hair.
My fears, sadness
And despair
Become insignificant;
You light me up
With your reflected glory,
The darkness in me
Evaporates,
And for a fleeting moment
I'm happy.
