I want to be a snowman,
A body made of ice,
Live in a cheerful garden,
'Neath starry skies at night.
Be built, with joy by grinning kids,
Join in snowball fights,
Watch children sledging,
Hear their cries of delight.
See through button eyes,
Wear only scarf and hat,
Scare away the robins,
And next-door's tabby cat.
Though being a snowman
Would be bitter-sweet,
When I melt into a puddle
Around my makers feet.
